White screen of death

Please please please fix the white screen of death!! Ive had to delete and reinstall the app so many times on my iPad, the App Store stays open to the right page.

In case you dont know what Im talking about (which seems impossible) - when reading an online link, if I happen to touch some mysterious spot on the left margin of the screen, everything goes white. It isnt possible to close out of the link or do anything else except delete and reinstall. :(
